Job summary

Shared Medical Services is seeking a part-time Medical Imaging Assistant to support a state-of-the-art mobile scanner, traveling between facilities and providing compassionate patient care. The role involves assisting with IV starts, patient positioning, and essential administrative tasks, with a schedule on Wednesdays and potential extra days.

Ideal candidates will have some phlebotomy/IV exposure, be able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally, and pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy/IV experience preferred but not required.
• Must be willing to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check, urine drug screen and physical.
• You must be able to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• You must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist technologist in starting IVs.
• Assist in providing excellent patient care on a mobile medical route, including maintaining patient comfort, safety and confidentiality.
• Assist in transporting patients between the medical facility and the mobile scanner.
• Assist the Medical Technologist in completing applicable forms and positioning patients on the scanner to facilitate the examination.
• Complete necessary administrative tasks (i.e. time/activity reports and billing).
