Job summary

Shared Medical Services is seeking a Medical Imaging Assistant on a part-time basis to support mobile scanning teams across communities. The role includes assisting with IV starts, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and transporting patients between facilities and the mobile scanner.

The position requires willingness to walk/stand for extended periods, passing background checks, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy/IV experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to walk and stand for long periods.
• Must pass pre-employment background check, urine drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Assist technologist in starting IVs and patient positioning.
• Provide excellent patient care on a mobile route with safety and confidentiality.
• Transport patients between facility and mobile scanner; complete forms and billing.
