APPS Paramedical is one of the largest paramedical companies in the United States, offering nationwide coverage for insurance physicals related to life, health, or disability insurance applications. The Georgia office is seeking qualified medical professionals to perform these exams efficiently and professionally on behalf of insurance providers.
Job Summary:
- Our independent contractors (ICs) are self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently to deliver high-quality examinations using their medical expertise.
- The exams are conducted on a mobile basis at the client's home or office, involving blood draws, medical histories, signatures, vital signs, saliva samples, and 12-lead EKGs.
- Contractors must adhere to all compliance, safety, and confidentiality policies while ensuring accuracy in collecting client information.
- Exam durations vary from approximately 15 minutes to just over an hour, depending on the requirements.
Hours:
- Flexible scheduling! Exams are available 7 days a week, year-round.
- Many contractors work around other jobs, making this an excellent opportunity to supplement income.
- Appointments are scheduled for you, allowing you to focus on conducting medical exams.
Reimbursement:
- Earn up to $30.00 per completed case, based on performance.
- Reimbursements are processed bi-weekly via direct deposit.
Territory:
Choose your own service area by selecting preferred zip codes.
Orientation:
A 6-hour orientation session is provided to verify your skills and familiarize you with paperwork and online systems.
Equipment:
- Equipment such as tablets, EKG machines, and centrifuges can be rented or purchased from us.
- Use of your own equipment is possible but not guaranteed.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience and familiarity with vital signs.
- Comfortable with tablets, computers, and scanners.
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric patients or home health is a plus.
- EKG experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- References, background checks, and drug testing are part of the hiring process.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification is preferred.
