Northwestern Medicine in Wheaton, IL seeks a Medical Assistant to support Primary Care at Home, combining clinical care with patient transport and administrative tasks. You will assist physicians, prepare rooms, collect specimens, and help with vaccines and testing to ensure smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, ECGs, and maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms while upholding confidentiality and safety standards.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified Medical Assistant eligibility or certification within six months (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 0–2 years of experience in a relevant role.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsabilidades

• Escorts patient to exam room, collects vital signs, documents visit details and allergies; notifies provider of changes.
• Assists with ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing as directed.
• Prepares and stocks exam rooms; disinfects and sterilizes equipment; maintains inventory and safety standards.
• Interacts with patients and care team to promote satisfaction and efficient workflow.
• Performs delegated procedures in specialty areas; supports overall patient care.
• Assists Supervisor/Manager with additional duties as assigned.
