Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Service Engineer to perform mechanical maintenance across sites in the Mobile region. The role covers installing, maintaining and repairing pumps, valves and pipework, diagnosing faults and restoring operations swiftly.

Ideal candidates hold a recognised mechanical engineering qualification and have practical experience with pumps and systems, plus willingness to travel and operate in a utility environment. Training and development are provided.

Qualifications

Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ3/City & Guilds/appr.) or equivalent.
Experience installing, maintaining and repairing pumps, pipework, valves and mechanical plants.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving for mechanical plant systems.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned, preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance across Veolia sites.
Install, maintain, repair and replace pumps, valves, pipework and associated mechanical equipment.
Diagnose faults, identify root causes and complete effective repairs on mechanical plant and pumping systems.
Respond to breakdowns and emergency callouts, restore operation quickly and safely.
Complete pipework installations and leak rectification; inspect and commission completed work.
Maintain accurate records, complete PPM schedules and report on outstanding work and improvements.
