Cambridge Maintenance Services is looking for a Mobile Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to provide maintenance for mechanical building services equipment. The role involves traveling to various client sites and performing planned and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems and more.

Mobile Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

As a Mobile Mechanical Maintenance Engineer qualified to a recognised level (City & Guilds), you will undertake scheduled PPM and reactive requirements, reporting to the Contracts Manager and working in partnership with all departments to deliver planned preventative maintenance and react to all repair work in the region for mechanical/electrical/fabric plant equipment and general property maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Travelling between client sites to maintain and repair mechanical building services equipment.
• Working on HVAC systems, pumps, motors, boilers, pipework, and associated plant.
• Carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
• Diagnosing faults and completing service reports using a tablet.
• Participating in an out‑of‑hours call‑out rota for emergency breakdowns.
• Covering a regional area using a company van.

Hours of Work

Monday-Friday – 42.5 hours per week with overtime starting after 47.5 hours

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Vented/Unvented G3 qualification
• Commercial Gas (All Modules)
• Experience performing works with mechanical pipework services, valves, motors, pumps, bearings, HVAC plant & equipment.
• Recognised qualification in at least one Maintenance/Engineering discipline.
• Ability to carry out repairs/replacement of plant, fixtures and fittings as required.
• Ability to organise various housekeeping tasks and arrangements.
