American Transportation Services has an immediate opening for a qualified trailer/tractor mechanic. The role requires a self-starter who can work remotely with minimal supervision and a day-shift schedule Mon-Fri.

The position involves maintaining trailers and yard spotting equipment for a Fortune 500 package delivery company. Benefits include health, life, vision insurance, 401(k) with match, paid vacation/holidays, and an opportunity for advancement.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years as a mechanic, able to diagnose and repair switchers, trailers, and converter dollies.
• Qualified to perform state and federal inspections.
• Trailer experience and diesel knowledge minimum 1 year, responsible and organized.

Responsibilities

• Perform FAI and State required inspections.
• Inspect and repair S cam air brake systems.
• Diagnose and repair anti-lock brake systems.
• Perform repairs to commercial trailers and converter dollies in all aspects.
• Familiar with Cummins Insight.
• Minor body work experience.
• Use Word/Excel to update reports.

American Transportation Services has an immediate opening for qualified trailer/tractor mechanic. Qualified candidates must be a self-starter with the ability to work remotely with little to no supervision. We provide a friendly & stable work environment primarily focused on day shift hours M-F. Selected candidates will be responsible for maintaining trailering equipment as well as performing minor external repairs on yard spotting equipment (switchers) for a Fortune 500 package delivery company.
