Job summary

American Transportation Services has an immediate opening for a qualified trailer/tractor mechanic. The role requires a self-starter who can work with little supervision and may involve remote work.

The position is primarily day shift, Monday to Friday, in Orlando, FL, with a Fortune 500 package delivery company. Benefits include company-paid life, health and vision insurance, partial dependent coverage, 401K with match, performance bonus, paid vacation, holidays after 90 days, training

Qualifications

• Qualified Mechanic with 1–3 years of experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair switchers, trailers, and converter dollies.
• Must be qualified to perform state and federal inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform FAI and State required inspections.
• Inspect and repair S cam air brake systems.
• Diagnose and repair anti-lock braking systems.
• Repair commercial trailers and converter dollies in all aspects.
• Familiar with Cummins Insight; perform minor body work as needed.

American Transportation Services has an immediate opening for qualified trailer/tractor mechanic. Qualified candidates must be a self-starter with the ability to work remotely with little to no supervision. We provide a friendly & stable work environment primarily focused on day shift hours M-F. Selected candidates will be responsible for maintaining trailering equipment as well as performing minor external repairs on yard spotting equipment (switchers) for a Fortune 500 package delivery company.

Requirement:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:Qualified Mechanic1-3 years as a mechanic, ability to diagnosis and repair switchers, trailers, and converter dollies. Must be qualified to perform state and federal inspections.

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
