Urban Harvest in Houston, TX is seeking a Mobile Market Assistant to support daily operations of the mobile market program, helping bring fresh foods to underserved communities. This part-time, hourly role involves coordinating logistics, handling transactions, and documenting outcomes.

The person will engage with community members, collect feedback, and contribute to reporting to drive healthy eating initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certification in Public Health, Community Development, Nutrition, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
• Experience in community outreach, public health, food security, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems.
• Preferred: bilingual English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating the daily operations of the Mobile Market, including scheduling, logistics, and inventory management.
• Handle cash/card transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
• Complete Mobile Market and Double Up reporting
• Collect data on market activities, customer feedback and community needs.
