Job summary

Fresh Vibes Market in New York is seeking a Market Coordinator to manage weekly operations, ensure supply readiness, and maintain an inviting setup at each market day.

You will handle cash and sales using a POS, assist customers, organize produce, and coordinate with vendors while promoting excellent service. Weekend availability including Saturdays is required.

Responsibilities

• Compose market operations each week: ensure materials are charged, ready, and onboard the vehicle.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, safety, and customer appeal.
• Organize produce for display, set-up, and break down.
• Determine when produce is expired and remove expired products.
• Establish priorities, work independently, and follow objectives without supervision.
• Provide above-and-beyond customer service at market sites and encourage trial of new products.
• Coordinate leftover produce for future market sales.
• Interact with colleagues, supervisors and customers face-to-face.
• Dissolve conflicts and handle customer complaints professionally.
• Accurately administer cash, credit, SNAP, and FMNP sales using a POS app.
• Complete end-of-day financial report and enter into database.

The Campaign Against Hunger’s Fresh Vibes Market provides fresh, affordable produce to the community and additional services. The mobile unit isalso equipped with a mobile classroom, a benefits access area, produce storage bins, as well as a cook-top and refrigerated areas for the storage of prepared foods. This allows TCAH to offer a wide variety of services in a single stop, including one-on-one benefits counseling, tax preparation and filing, SNAP screenings, fitness classes, nutrition workshops, cooking demos, as well as fresh produce and other healthful foods. Thanks to the support of the Fresh Vibes Market, we expect to continue making progress in fighting obesity, diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and other chronic diet-preventable illnesses, just as we have been doing for more than 20 years.The Fresh Vibes Market Coordinator must be an outgoing, friendly, and dependable individual, who is consistently available to work on designated marketdays and during events.Responsibilities1.
