Mobile Market Assistant

Urban Harvest is seeking an outgoing, outstanding individual with strong coordination and community skills to serve in the role of Mobile Market Assistant. We invite applications and nominations for candidates with the skills, characteristics, and experience described below. Location: Houston, TX Position Type: Part-Time / Hourly Pay Rate: $15-17/hr (4-8hrs/ week)

Organization Overview: The mission of Urban Harvest is to be a catalyst in transforming food accessibility in Greater Houston. We aim to achieve this by fostering strong partnerships with local farmers and gardeners, operating vibrant Farmers Markets, initiating mobile markets, and providing comprehensive garden education.

Job Summary: The Mobile Market Assistant is responsible for assisting in the operations of the mobile market program, ensuring access to fresh, affordable, and healthy food in underserved communities. This role includes executing mobile market activities, some reporting, as well as engaging with the community to build strong relationships and promote healthy eating habits. Location: Houston, TX Position Type: Part-Time / Hourly Pay Rate: $17/hr. (4-8hrs/ week)

Key Responsibilities:

• o Assist in coordinating the daily operations of the Mobile Market, including scheduling, logistics, and inventory management.
• o Handle cash/card transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
