Job summary

Peninsula Community Health Services is seeking a Mammography Technologist to coordinate, perform, and oversee mobile mammography services. The role combines hands-on imaging with program coordination to ensure access to breast cancer screening for underserved communities.

You will act as a subject-matter expert for mobile mammography, ensure regulatory compliance, QA/QC, and work with diverse teams to support quality imaging and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently or in a team.
• Customer service experience preferred (1–3 years).

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality screening mammograms per protocols and regulations.
• Ensure proper patient positioning, imaging technique, and safety to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Coordinate mobile mammography operations: scheduling, logistics, site setup/breakdown.
• Support community outreach to promote mobile mammography services.
• Serve as technical advisor on equipment specs, workflows, and readiness of the mobile unit.
• Lead and manage MQSA compliance and related regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with physicists, radiologists, inspectors and agencies for licensure and compliance.
• Maintain QA/QC programs for equipment and imaging processes.
• Prepare for and support inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Ensure equipment is clean, calibrated, and compliant with standards.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and documentation for the unit.
• Manage policies, procedures, and workflows for the mobile unit.
