Job summary

PALFINGER is seeking a Mobile Lifting Equipment Service Specialist – Shop Operations in Kent, WA. You will perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on articulating cranes and related heavy equipment, ensure preventive maintenance, and handle after-hours service calls as needed.

You will document estimates, parts used, and labor, while upholding safety standards and working closely with the Shop Service Manager to keep equipment in top condition.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• About 3 years of mechanical experience/training.
• Experience with articulating cranes and forklifts.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical skills.
• Basic Windows computer skills; self-directed and initiative-driven.
• Physical capacity to lift 75+ lbs for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on service for articulating cranes, truck-mounted forklifts, bucket trucks, platforms, conveyors, trucks, and trailers.
• Preventive maintenance aligned to customer schedules, Annual DOT inspections, and warranty service.
• Emergency/unscheduled troubleshooting and repairs during working and non-working hours.
• Accurate, timely paperwork: estimates, work order authorization, ordering/recording parts, labor entry, and inventory documentation.
• Adherence to state and federal safety regulations; keep the shop safe, clean, and well organized.
