Job summary

Equipment Depot is seeking a technician to repair and maintain electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial trucks and/or construction equipment. You will read work orders, diagnose problems, perform repairs, and verify equipment after service.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 months of related experience, and a valid driver's license. Strong communication and basic math skills are required to interpret safety and operating instructions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Basic math and ability to write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and observe truck operation to diagnose problems.
• Offer solutions and provide estimates when appropriate.
• Perform mechanical repairs after inspection and analysis.
• Record repair descriptions, model, serial number, and hours on work orders.
• Communicate with customers about repair needs and work completed.
• Inspect safety devices and lubricate moving parts.
• Verify conformance by driving repaired trucks.
• Represent Equipment Depot professionally and maintain van cleanliness.
• Coordinate with operations or service manager for routine maintenance.
• Submit time cards daily and turn in paperwork as required.
