Jimmy T. Wood, LLC. in Memphis, TN seeks a skilled Welder to perform in-house and mobile repairs at our waterfront terminal. Proficient in heavy stick welding and plasma cutting, the role ensures structural integrity of containers, chassis and related equipment.

The position requires performing preventive and corrective maintenance, following DOT, OSHA and IICL procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and teamwork in varying weather conditions.

Competenze

Proficient in heavy stick welding and plasma cutting.
Comfort with preventive and corrective maintenance.
Excellent communication skills are essential for teamwork and reporting.
Must pass an extensive background check.
Must have a valid state driver’s license.
Must pass a drug screen and physical examination.

Mansioni

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on shipping containers and chassis using applicable standards.
Weld and cut during routine and extensive repair of containers and chassis following DOT, OSHA, and IICL procedures.
Measure materials and work with pneumatic and electrical power tools.
Assess damage for estimates and reparability; complete work orders and inspection paperwork.
Maintain and repair support equipment and chassis to ensure safety and operation.
