Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking skilled HVAC mechanics to join our North America team, focusing on light commercial and/or heavy commercial HVAC service. You will perform maintenance, repair and replacement on commercial heating and cooling systems, while delivering high-quality service and solutions to customers.

A strong safety mindset and the ability to communicate clearly with clients are essential. We provide avenue for factory certification through our STA, and opportunities to advance

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years commercial/industrial HVAC troubleshooting experience (HVACR)
• Experience with rooftop units, pumps, fans, boilers, compressors, and plumbing
• Mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators
• Able to use vibration equipment to troubleshoot drivelines
• Travel 10–20% to support branch activities
• Must pass a knowledge examination
• Opportunity for career development through training programs
• Collaborate with local market mechanics, Servicemen and apprentices
• Attention to detail; write and communicate problems, causes and fixes to customers
• Ability to provide quotes and participate in Service Plus Rewards program
• Self-starter with safety-first mindset
• Must have EPA refrigerants license, applicable state/local licensing, and valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems
• Provide customers with solutions and outcomes at commissioning and aftermarket service
• Offer quotes to support recommendations and upsell where appropriate
• Collaborate with branch teams to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction
• Maintain safety standards and proper documentation for service activities
