Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Rochester, NY is seeking a Mobile Engineer to operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment across facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, handle repairs, and document work to ensure energy efficiency and minimized downtime.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, on-call availability, and commitment to safety. Strong HVAC/R expertise and multi-skilled capabilities are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment).
• Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering with a strong HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment background.
• Knowledge of overall system design and applications.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial refrigeration.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive and repair work orders on mechanical, electrical, and installed systems.
• Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC/R systems and related equipment.
• Study equipment and methods and perform inspections to support client occupancy and operations.
• Submit P-card receipts and update work orders in real time using CMMS.

Mobile Engineer

What this job involves – Operates, inspects, andmaintainsall HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment and systems in assigned facilities to obtain most efficient operating results and life expectancy. Assures that equipment is beingmaintainedin an energy efficient, safe manner and down time is reduced to a minimum by anticipation of necessary repairs keeping records of past operating experiences. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc.Strong focus on operating,maintaining,troubleshootingand repairingfacility equipment on all HVAC/R systems. Individuals are expectedtodemonstratetechnicalexpertisein HVAC and refrigeration and be multi skilled in electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Material HandlingEquipmentand othersin order tosuccessfully complete daily/weekly work assignments.

What is your day to day?Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical,electricaland other installed systems, equipment, and other components.Maintain,operate, and repair all HVAC/R systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds, and production equipment as it pertains to assigned buildings.Study and become familiar with thevarious itemsof equipment, and the methodsrequiredto use them properly, that arerequiredin everyday activities.Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts,reporting onas found conditionsimpactingsatisfactory client occupancy and operations.Submit P-card Receipts Daily Update work order status in real time Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed.Candidate mustpossessand maintain a valid state driver’s licenseMust be available for Call-in work and perform other duties asrequired

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• ExperienceutilizingCMMS (Work Order) systems
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel
• Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems,refrigerationand HVAC

Location & Working Hours

Location: Mobile position covering Rochester,NY and surrounding area. Work Shift: Standard business hours with on-call availability

Compensation

Expected compensation for this position: 728,000.00–87,360.00 USD per year Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
