Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Engineer to service 70+ contracted clients. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, industrial, plumbing, and control systems, while adhering to safety and client specifications.

The role includes reviewing work orders, scheduling preventive tasks, and operating company vehicles. A valid CFC and driver’s license are required, with 4–5 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
• Universal CFC certification and Valid Driver’s license.
• Experience working on self-contained units.
• Knowledge of water-cooled heat pumps is helpful.
• Must meet physical requirements (lift 50 lbs+).
• Ability to exercise judgment from multiple sources and adapt.
• Proactive mindset and willingness to explore new solutions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

About the Role:

As a CBRE Mobile Engineer, you will be responsible for preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

This is a mobile role, servicing any of our 70+ contracted clients in your area. The schedule is Monday - Friday approximately 8 - 5 with no mandatory on call or overtime. CBRE provides a van, gas card, tablet, phone, P card, uniforms, all tools needed to do the job, as well as annual boot allowance and all PPE.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems for the facility to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.


• Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete the repair and maintain inventory of adequate supplies and tools.


• Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life; oversee repairs and emergency maintenance as needed.


• Review inspections of building and industrial systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure the operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by the client.


• Oversee compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.


• Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.


• Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.


• Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.


• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.


• Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.

What You’ll Need:

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.


• Universal CFC certification and Valid Driver’s license required.


• Experience working on self-contained units is necessary to be successful in this role


• Some knowledge of Water-cooled heat pumps would be helpful


• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.


• Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.


• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.


• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.


• Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
