Job summary

CBRE is hiring a Hybrid Mobile HVAC Technician to maintain HVAC systems and provide light building maintenance across multiple sites in the Baltimore area. The role includes electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks, with company-provided tools and a company vehicle.

Work hours are roughly 7:00–3:30 or 8:00–4:30, Monday–Friday, with no on-call or weekend requirements. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, EPA/CFC certification, and 4–5 years of related experience, plus basic MS

• EPA or CFC certification is required.
• Basic carpentry, electrical and plumbing skills are expected.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and meet physical requirements.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical and electrical equipment for commercial HVAC systems.
• Perform light electrical, plumbing and basic carpentry tasks; preventive maintenance.
• Inspect, repair and service HVAC/R equipment in various buildings.
• Document maintenance and repair records accurately.
• Operate company vehicle and adhere to safety standards.

About The Role

As a CBRE HVAC - Hybrid Mobile Technician, you will maintain mechanical and electrical equipment for commercial HVAC systems as well as general building maintenance to include light electrical, Plumbing and basic carpentry at multiple locations and various types of buildings. This job is related to the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They provide support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on buildings, equipment and systems to include HVAC, and general building maintenance i.e. Light plumbing, carpentry and electrical. CBRE does provide the following for this role; Company van, gas card, tablet, phone, uniforms, boot allowance and all tools needed to do the job. This specific role will be providing service to one of our Premier Telecommunications providers and the schedule would be approximately (7- 3:30/ 8- 4:30 M-F) with a 30 min lunch. No On-call or Weekends required

What You'll Do

• Impact a range of customer, operation, project, or service activities within your team and other related teams.
• Work within broad guidelines and policies to conduct inspections and ongoing maintenance on building HVAC/R equipment, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Solve equipment failures, determine the best course of action for equipment modifications, and apply your expertise to maintain, operate, and repair HVAC systems and basic general building maintenance - Including electrical, plumbing, and light carpentry
• Completing maintenance and repair records.
• Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.
• Share your in-depth knowledge of HVAC/Refrigeration systems and broad knowledge facilities maintenance.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE 's Culture.
• Explain technical information to others in a straightforward, professional manner, ensuring that team members and clients understand technical details and solutions.

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma - GED, or trade school certification with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education may be considered.
• Universal EPA or CFC Certification
• Basic knowledge and skills with light carpentry, electrical and plumbing as this is a Hybrid role.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and be able to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Exhibit strong organizational skills, advanced-inquisitive mentality, capable of analyzing and solving complex problems. Desire to take a new approach to existing solutions and apply innovative thinking to your work.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. To include Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to calculate figures such as percentages, fractions, and other similar calculations.

The minimum pay for the Mobile HVAC/ General Maintenance Hybrid position is $35.00 per hour and the maximum pay for the Mobile HVAC/ General Maintenance Hybrid position is $40.30 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
