Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice & In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare is seeking veterinarians to provide compassionate end-of-life care in clients’ homes across Milwaukee, Racine, and surrounding areas. You will experience autonomy with a schedule built around your life and receive mentorship and ongoing support from experienced colleagues.

Positions include 5-day full-time with a $105,000 base, 4-day full-time starting at $90,000, and prorated self-managed options.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS degree required.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Flexibility to work weekends (4 weekends per month).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with assistance.
• License verification, background check and driving record review before start.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets.
• Practice medicine on the road with independence and support from a mentorship team.
• Support grieving families with compassion and clear communication during difficult moments.

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
