Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking compassionate veterinarians to provide end-of-life care in clients' homes across Milwaukee, Racine, and surrounding areas. You will practice medicine with time to listen and support families through difficult moments, on a flexible schedule.

The role offers generous compensation and a supportive team, with mentorship and benefits designed to maintain wellbeing while delivering patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent required.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
• Weekend scheduling flexibility to accommodate personal commitments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with assistance.
• License verification, background check and driving record review before start.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hospice and in-home euthanasia care in clients' homes.
• Practice veterinary medicine independently with team support and mentorship.
• Answer families' questions with kindness and help them say goodbye with dignity and peace.
• Maintain safety and professionalism during home visits.
