Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services across Westborough, Holden, Grafton, and surrounding Massachusetts communities. You’ll practice medicine on the road, with time to listen to families, answer questions with kindness, and honor each pet’s story in the comfort of home.

Choose from 2 to 5 day-per-week schedules with self-managed options, guaranteed base salary plus quarterly bonuses, and benefits including 401(k),

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) is required.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License is required.
• Flexible weekend availability as per schedule.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with assistance.
• License verification, background check, and driving record review prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services to pets in their homes.
• Practice compassionate veterinary medicine on the road with families.
• Support families through difficult moments with clear, empathetic communication.
