Job summary

Phoenix Global is seeking a Welder / Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic to support the Fort Smith fleet. You will perform welding, repair, and preventive maintenance on off-road construction and yellow mobile equipment, following company policies and safety procedures.

Responsibilities include disassembly/reassembly of components, reading manuals and work orders, and maintaining accurate documentation of work and parts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical tasks.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read manuals and schematics.
• Experience or knowledge with heavy equipment and associated systems.
• Familiarity with diesel engines, hydraulics, braking and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, repair, and maintenance on heavy mobile equipment.
• Disassemble and reassemble mobile equipment components for service.
• Read work orders and manuals to perform required maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with Phoenix safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in monthly safety meetings and keep a clean work area.
• Document completed work and track parts used and lubricants.
• Support the Phoenix fleet maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Operate with attention to quality control and preventive maintenance.
