Job summary

Sanders Brothers Construction Co. Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to service and repair our vehicle fleet on-site in Charleston, SC.

You will diagnose and repair a range of heavy equipment, from excavators to backhoes, and ensure readiness through testing and documentation. Responsibilities include on-site repair, preventive maintenance, tool usage, and timely reporting. A valid CDL or travel willingness is a plus, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have own tools.
• Pre-employment drug test/ background check will help ensure team fit.
• 1–3 years experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment.
• Diesel engine emissions experience (Tier 3, Tier 4) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site repair services for heavy equipment fleet.
• Diagnose, repair, adjust or overhaul equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes and more.
• Test parts and systems for operational readiness; perform basic maintenance and tune-ups.
