Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Road Mechanic to service a diverse fleet across sites in North Charleston, SC. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair equipment to minimize downtime, working with a safety-focused team.

The role requires 3–5 years of diesel equipment experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. CDL may be required in some locations; bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school helpful.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel or heavy equipment.
• Valid driver's license; CDL may be required in some locations.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment.
• Work safely to minimize downtime and maintain fleet readiness.
• Repair Aerial Work Platforms, pumps, HVAC or oil/gas gear as needed.
• Operate with attention to changing location priorities and schedules.
