DLA Careers is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to service and repair heavy duty equipment, including hydraulic lifts and truck cranes, on-site at various federal facilities in the Cumberland area. Responsibilities include diagnostics, part replacements, and preventative maintenance for gasoline, diesel, and electric-powered vehicles.

Applicants must hold a valid state and government driver’s license and be prepared to operate a range of vehicles and equipment.

Qualifications

• Valid state and government driver’s license and ability to operate required vehicles.
• Experience with troubleshooting and repair of heavy duty equipment preferred.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and repair heavy duty equipment, hydraulic lifts, materials handling equipment, cargo transporter and truck cranes.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment; replace worn parts and assemblies such as regulators, starters, brake assemblies, water pumps, and alternators.
• Perform preventative and unscheduled maintenance on gasoline, diesel, and electric vehicles and trailers.
• Disassemble batteries and assess cells for replacement or cleaning; perform related maintenance.
• Operate light trucks and forklifts to move equipment and materials to and from job sites.
