Job summary

Alta Equipment Group is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Technician for the Oakwood Village, OH branch. This full-time role is a union position under Operating Engineers Local 18, reporting locally and handling inspections, repairs, and accessory installations.

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years of heavy equipment repair and 2+ years of power systems repair, with Volvo Penta experience preferred. Must own tools, have a clean driving record, and communicate effectively in written and spoken

Qualifications

• Four years of heavy equipment repair experience required.
• Minimum of 2 years of power systems repair experience required.
• Volvo Penta engine experience highly preferred.
• Mechanic repair background with diverse equipment is expected.
• Strong knowledge of engine, powertrain, hydraulics and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete inspections and implement optional accessories.
• Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Adhere to Alta's Guiding Principles in daily work.
• Maintain consistent attendance and be ready for work on time.
• Ability to work after hours as needed.
