Job summary

ALTG is seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Field Technician based in Oakwood Village, OH. This union role will report to the Oakwood Village branch and participate in Operating Engineers Local 18.

The position involves inspections, accessory installations, and general repairs while upholding Alta’s Guiding Principles and ensuring reliable attendance. Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work after hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Four years of heavy equipment or OTR repair experience required.
• Minimum of two years of power systems repair experience required.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work after hours as needed.
• Possess own tools.
• Solid understanding of engine, power train, hydraulics and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete inspections.
• Implement optional accessories.
• Perform general repairs.
• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain consistent attendance and be ready for work at start time.
