Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our field-based maintenance team in the Carrollton area. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain construction equipment such as cranes, bulldozers, and other heavy machinery, travel to active sites, and uphold safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of experience, a strong background in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and must obtain a Class A CDL within six months of hire. ESOP company with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience as a Mechanic with strong knowledge of industrial construction equipment.
• Must have working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, diesel, and electrical systems.
• Class A CDL within 6 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment in the field.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on mobile equipment.
• Read manuals, blueprints, and schematics to complete repairs accurately.
• Document service work and maintain equipment condition records.
• Travel to project sites as needed and ensure safety compliance.
