Transwest Mobile Truck & Trailer in Dallas, TX is seeking a Mobile Heavy-Duty Diesel Service Specialist to diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems in the field across Texas and neighboring states. You will use advanced diagnostic tools, OEM manuals, and your own field tools to perform maintenance, document work, and communicate with customers.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with diesel powertrains, hydraulics, or electrical systems.
• Expertise with diagnostic platforms and service documentation.
• Strong fault-finding ability and composure in fast-paced environments.
• Your own field service tool set.
• Valid driver's license to operate a company vehicle.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work indoors and outdoors.
• ASE certifications or OEM training preferred.
• Background in mobile/field service operations.
• Polished communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute advanced maintenance and repair on heavy-duty diesel engines, hydraulic components, electrical systems, and farm machinery.
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic tools and OEM/service manuals.
• Perform both planned and unplanned field repairs independently.
• Operate cranes and other specialized equipment to support field tasks.
• Document service details thoroughly and accurately.
• Coach entry-level techs and collaborate with peers.
• Stay current with industry innovations and integrate best practices.
• Explain findings and recommendations clearly to customers with timely updates.
