Job summary

Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions is seeking a Mobile Gas Engineer to perform diagnostic, maintenance and repair work on gas, hot & cold water systems across a defined area. You will liaise with customers, document workmanship and ensure safety standards are met.

Role includes occasional out-of-hours callouts, a company van, and a fixed-term 12-month contract. A London allowance and standby payments are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Must hold Domestic and Commercial gas qualifications and be Gas Safe registered
• CCN1 or CODNCO1 qualification is required and Gas Safe accreditation for commercial gas modules
• 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations required
• Basic IT literacy and ability to use digital job management systems
• Full UK manual Driving Licence is required; travel within area with a company van

Responsibilities

• Provide technical diagnosis and solutions for gas and hot/cold water systems
• Perform routine maintenance checks and fault finding
• Repair and installation of gas and related systems
• Carry out basic plumbing tasks and liaise with customers to keep them informed
