Job summary

Waterfront Rescue Mission in Mobile, AL, is seeking a Food Services Coordinator to oversee daily kitchen operations across ministry programs. You will report to the Director of WRM-Mobile Mission and Operations Manager and ensure safe, efficient meal preparation and service.

The role requires ServSafe certification, adherence to health directives, inventory management, and staff training. This position offers competitive benefits and growth within a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Must exemplify Christian behaviors and values with high ethics and character.
• Requires high school diploma or GED and 2–5 years in food service; management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and maintain ServSafe certification.
• Complete inventories of kitchen supplies and maintain temperature logs.
• Develop healthy weekly menus and schedule meal prep, service and cleanup.
• Coordinate orders for food and kitchen supplies.
• Ensure food safety: proper refrigeration, cooking, thawing and serving.
• Maintain equipment and stored food per ServSafe guidelines and health directives.
• Train staff and clients in proper handwashing and safety practices.
• Coordinate holiday community meals and staff training on safety and quality.
