Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to join our growing team. You’ll install and support GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and other fleet technology across cars, trucks, tractors, and trailers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive experience or related field.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
• Comfort with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a mobile environment.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work around vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
• Work on light- and medium-duty vehicles, trucks, tractors, trailers, and fleet assets.
• Perform basic 12V/24V wiring tasks including power, ignition, ground, and diagnostics.
• Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
• Test system functionality: GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors.
• Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues.
• Document completed installations with photos and notes.
• Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations.
