Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks and tractor trailers.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer systems and components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet trucks and trailers.
• Assemble, disassemble, and clean vehicle engines and fuel tanks.
• Maintain hubs and axles, replacing or adjusting as needed.
• Inspect, service, and replace trailer parts including tires.
• Repair brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Test systems and equipment for performance issues.
• Ensure trailers meet DOT safety standards.
• Prepare inspection reports, document repairs, and communicate findings to management.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries in person or by phone.

Qualifications

What You Need

• At least 1 year of trailer mechanic experience or related field (willing to consider applicable skills).
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Basic reading, writing, and computer skills for documentation and billing.
• Teamwork skills and adherence to safety procedures.
• Knowledge of ABS, brakes, diagnostics, electronics, lights, hydraulics, and suspensions.
• Own tools required.

Preferred

• Welding experience.
• High School Diploma.

Salary Range
