Job summary

CS Truck & Trailer Repair in Kennesaw, GA is seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Diesel Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join an experienced team. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair trucks and trailers, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure DOT compliance.

Experience with welding is a plus. Must provide own tools and work well in a collaborative shop environment. Competitive hourly pay with benefits and growth potential in a locally owned company.

Qualifications

5+ years tractor-trailer mechanic experience preferred.
Follow oral and written instructions to complete daily tasks.
Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders.
Basic computer skills to submit repairs for billing.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy duty diesel trucks and trailers.
Provide quality customer service.
Inspect vehicles and repair bodies, systems, and components
Perform preventative maintenance on fleet trucks and trailers.
Assemble/disassemble engines and clean fuel tanks.
Maintain hubs and axles and replace as required.
Inspect and service trailer parts including tires.
Check and repair braking, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Test all systems for performance issues.
Ensure trailers meet DOT safety requirements.
Prepare inspection reports and communicate findings to management.
Respond to client queries in person or by phone.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair our customers Heavy Duty Diesel Trucks and Tractor Trailers
Provide quality customer service.
Inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components
Performing preventative maintenance measures on fleet semi-trucks and trailers
Assembling and dissembling vehicle engines and cleaning the fuel tanks.
Maintaining hubs and axles and adjusting or replacing them when required
Inspecting, servicing, and replacing trailer parts, including tires
Checking and repairing the brake, electrical, and hydraulic system
Testing all systems and equipment for performance issues
Ensuring that trailers meet the U.S. Department of Transportation's road safety requirements.
Compiling inspection reports, documenting repairs, and reporting all findings to management.
Responding as soon as possible to client queries, interacting with our customers in person or via phone.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE

5+ year Tractor-Trailer Mechanic experience or related field preferred
Follow oral and written instructions to complete daily tasks
Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders
Basic computer skills to submit repairs for billing
Ability to work in a team environment while following shop safety procedures
Knowledge in ABS, brakes, diagnostics, electronics, lights, hydraulics, suspensions
Provide own tools
