Job summary

Prestige Fleet Services is seeking skilled on-site maintenance technicians to service trucks and trailers at customer locations. You will perform inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on Class 6-8 equipment, while managing work orders and parts in a fast-paced field environment.

The role requires at least 3 years of diesel/trailer experience, strong communication, and a valid driver's license. Expect varying shifts, occasional extended hours, and a focus on safety and quality

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work extended hours including weekends and holidays.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Self-motivated with good organization and planning skills.
• Ability to use a computer/tablet for electronic work orders and status updates.
• 2+ years of experience performing federal inspections and brake inspections.
• 2+ years of truck/trailer maintenance and repair experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must possess proper tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers (brakes, diagnostics, A/C, electrical, engine components, exhaust, after-treatment, liftgates, tires).
• Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair/replace vehicle and trailer components.
• Open and close repair orders on a company device.
• Obtain parts and manage inventory for service trucks.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and related documentation.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, such as brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, tires, etc.
• Schedule and overlook all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair/Replace vehicle/ trailer components.
• Open and Close repair orders on a company-issued device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
• Communication skills
• Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
• Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hours, and updating work order statuses
• 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
• 2 years of experience in truck/ trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must possess proper tools

Salary information: $29 - $36/hr. – pay is commensurate with experience

Performance-Based Incentives inaddition to hourly pay, technicians are eligible to participate in our productivity and efficiency incentive program. Incentives are paid weekly, allowing technicians to earn and receive additional compensation throughout the month rather than waiting for monthly or quarterly payouts. High-performing technicians have the opportunity to significantly increase their earnings beyond their base hourly rate.
