Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled mobile diesel and trailer repair technician to service commercial fleets in Franklin Township, NJ. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, trailer systems, brakes, suspensions, and electrical components on-site at customer locations, with emphasis on safety and DOT compliance.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of field experience, a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred), and the ability to work independently while documenting work and maintaining high

Qualifications

4+ years of diesel and/or trailer repair experience
Mobile repair experience preferred
Strong knowledge of truck and trailer systems
Ability to independently diagnose and complete repairs in the field
Strong customer service skills and clear communication
Valid driver’s license required
CDL is a plus
Self-motivated and able to manage daily workload independently

Responsibilities

Perform mobile diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on commercial fleet trucks and trailers
Service trailer components including brakes, suspension, landing gear, air lines, electrical systems, and light body repair
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, emissions systems, cooling systems, exhaust, DEF systems, and drivetrain components
Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure DOT and safety compliance
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers on-site
Operate and maintain a fully equipped mobile service truck
Accurately document services performed using mobile or written logs
Maintain high standards of workmanship, efficiency, and safety
