Job summary

Clean Harbors in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on the fleet at branch locations. You will inspect, diagnose, and fix equipment, travel to other sites as required, and ensure safety measures are followed. The role requires flexibility to work varied shifts and to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• 1+ years prior experience working on heavy duty trucks and equipment.
• Must be able to provide own basic tools.
• Willingness to travel within assigned territory up to 70% and work flexible shifts.
• Must be able to pass background/drug/physical tests on hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on company fleet.
• Repair equipment and correct deficiencies as directed by management.
• Carry out thorough inspections and identify unsatisfactory conditions.
• Ensure compliance with PPE requirements during all tasks.
• Travel to other locations to perform repairs as needed.
• Complete PM scheduling paperwork and maintain vehicle status.
