Job summary

Penn Jersey Diesel & Trailer is expanding and seeking a Mobile Fleet Technician to service customers on-site in Swedesville, NJ. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial tractors and trailers, ensuring prompt, professional service and clear communication with customers.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years of experience, a Class A CDL, own tools, and a commitment to safety. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience repairing commercial tractors and trailers.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work hands-on.
• Basic computer and communication skills for repair orders, billing, documentation.
• Reliable follow-through to complete daily tasks safely and efficiently.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Class A CDL.
• Your own tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial tractors, trailers, and fleet equipment—on mobile road calls and in-yard service.
• Keep customers moving by delivering prompt, professional service and clear communication.
• Inspect and service brakes, electrical and hydraulic systems, hubs, axles, tires, bodies, and trailer components.
• Perform preventative maintenance and test equipment to ensure safe, reliable performance.
• Document work accurately through detailed work orders, inspection reports, repair notes, and findings for management.
• Maintain DOT-ready standards so trailers meet U.S. Department of Transportation road safety requirements.
