Job summary

Penn Jersey Diesel & Trailer is expanding and seeking a Mobile Fleet Technician to provide on-site service to our growing customer network. If you’re a skilled technician with strong mechanical aptitude, great people skills, and a drive to grow, we want to hear from you.

The role requires diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial tractors and trailers on mobile road calls and in-yard, with a focus on safety, reliability, and clear communication with customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience repairing commercial tractors and trailers.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform hands-on work.
• Basic computer and communication skills for repair orders and documentation.
• Reliable follow-through to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Welding experience a plus.
• Class A CDL preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical schooling is a plus.
• Your own tools required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain tractors, trailers, and fleet equipment on mobile road calls and in-yard.
• Keep customers moving with prompt, professional service and clear communication.
• Inspect and service brakes, electrical and hydraulic systems, hubs, axles, tires, bodies, and trailer components.
• Perform preventative maintenance and test equipment for safe, reliable performance.
• Document work with detailed work orders, inspection reports, repair notes, and findings.
• Maintain DOT-ready standards for trailers.

What You’ll Do:
