Job summary

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, seeks a Field Water Treatment Technician to join a safety-conscious team. The role is highly field-based with extensive travel (90%+), assisting in installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of mobile water treatment equipment at client sites.

The technician will work under supervision, coordinating with project managers and logistics, and contribute to best practices and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and maintaining water treatment systems (solids removal, media or similar).
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, equipment and tools.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and process systems in a field environment.
• Ability and willingness to travel 90% or more, including extended deployments.
• Valid driver’s license and other requirements of the driving policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and operation for mobile water treatment equipment.
• Coordinate with project managers, site contacts, and logistics teams to ensure on-schedule deployment.
• Operate water treatment systems during assigned project periods.
• Monitor water chemistry parameters (Chlorine, Iron, TDS, pH, flow).
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and process-related failures in a field setting.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to manufacturer guidelines and PM schedules.
