Job summary

HPC Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, seeks a Field Water Treatment Technician to join a safety-focused team. This mobile role travels to client sites, assisting installation, operation, and maintenance of water treatment equipment and systems.

You will monitor water chemistry, adjust dosing under supervision, and troubleshoot field equipment while documenting activities and contributing to best practices. Travel-heavy with training and growth opportunities.

• Must be able to travel 90%+ to client sites.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and operation for mobile water treatment equipment.
• Execute equipment installation per project specs with direction from Supervisor.
• Coordinate with project managers, site contacts, and logistics to ensure on-schedule deployment.
• Operate water treatment systems during project periods.
• Monitor water chemistry: Chlorine, Iron, TDS, pH, and flow rates.
• Adjust controls and dosing to maintain water quality as directed.
• Identify and respond to deviations or alarms promptly.
• Diagnose mechanical/electrical/process faults in field settings.
• Perform repairs and part replacements; escalate when needed.
• Minimize downtime with rapid fault isolation and documented steps.
• Perform preventive maintenance per manufacturer guidelines.
• Document maintenance activities in the system and track intervals.
• Maintain cleanliness and serviceability of field equipment.
• Record operational data and submit reports on a regular cadence.
• Share lessons learned to raise field standards.
• Experience in solids removal or media-based treatment is a plus.
