Job summary

Southern California Edison seeks a Mobile Trainer to provide training at designated work locations and to support Apprentices and Journeymen in the Apprentice Lineman program. You will deliver safety- and procedures-focused instruction, assess performance, and coach students toward competency.

The role requires collaboration with internal stakeholders, development of curricula, and wear multiple hats as a training subject-matter expert across T&D operations.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in electric utility line work, training and/or instructional design.
• Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates training such as new hire, new to role, refresher, just-in-time and performance-based training.
• Develops and maintains training curriculum, materials and assessments.
• Ensures safety protocols, work processes, and procedures are taught and applied.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to identify training needs and improvements.
• Administers tests and provides feedback to students in training programs.
• Supports front-line leaders with employee performance management and mentoring.
• Organizes hands-on demonstrations and lab exercises for practical experience in electrical systems.
