Job summary

CTOS - Trucks & Equipment seeks a hands-on Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair utility trucks and heavy equipment at customer sites across Baltimore, Hagerstown, and the DC area. You’ll work across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems with a CTOS service truck, performing inspections and road tests to ensure safety and reliability.

You will document actions clearly and communicate progress to customers and CTOS teams, while autonomously managing your schedule and field

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a Field Service Technician in heavy equipment, trucks, or utility equipment.
• Must hold a Class B CDL.
• Advanced diagnostic ability in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Proven success working independently in the field.
• Clear documentation and customer communication skills.
• Willingness to travel across the Baltimore–Hagerstown–DC region, with occasional overnight trips.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair utility trucks and heavy equipment at customer sites.
• Perform scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Conduct road tests after repairs to verify performance and safety.
• Document service actions and provide status updates to CTOS teams and customers.
• Manage field schedule and service calls independently.
• Operate and maintain a CTOS service truck; collaborate with Field Service team.
