Job summary
Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) in Kansas City is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair utility trucks and related equipment. You will use diagnostic software, reference manuals, and hands-on testing to ensure proper functionality and road readiness.
The role requires experience with electrical systems, hydraulics, and welding, plus a valid CDL. You will travel to customer sites and service centers, document work, and coordinate with the Service Manager on next steps
Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience with electrical systems, hydraulics, and welding.
- Familiarity with diagnostic platforms such as Quick Serve or DTNA.
- CDL required (Class A or B).
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair LMI systems and CAN bus issues.
- Inspect, service, and repair equipment in field and service center.
- Road-test vehicles to validate repairs and performance.
- Document work using software and complete timecards accurately.
- Communicate findings and next steps to customers and Service Manager.
- Travel beyond normal coverage area as business needs require.
- Attend safety training and follow CTOS regulations.
