Job summary

PSS Industrial Group in Houston hires a Field Service Technician for the Porta-Lathe unit. Travel to off-site facilities to repair and maintain pipelines and equipment; when in the Fabrication Shop, you will service a wide variety of equipment.

You will complete operator certification training, adhere to OSHA/DOT safety, and participate in required safety courses. The role requires lifting up to 70 pounds, a clean driving record, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced oilfield

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to pass Operator Certification written test.
• Ability to pass random DOT drug tests.
• Ability to obtain a TWIC card.
• Ability to read, add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 70 pounds occasionally.
• Good communication skills both verbally and written.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Clean driving record for the past 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customers’ off-site facilities for repair and maintenance of pipelines and equipment.
• Repair and maintain a wide variety of equipment in the field and in the Fabrication Shop.
• Adhere to OSHA and DOT safety regulations at all times.
• Participate in all required training and safety classes.
• Ensure company truck(s) are kept clean and perform preventive maintenance checks.
• Advise Branch Manager or Warehouse Supervisor on vehicle issues or concerns.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and organized workstations.
• Follow safety precautions and protocols at all times.
