Job summary

PSS Industrial Group seeks a Field Service Technician for the Porta-Lathe unit. The role involves traveling to off-site locations to repair and maintain pipelines and equipment, plus on-site fabrication shop work. You will follow OSHA and DOT safety rules and participate in required safety trainings.

Candidates must hold Operator Certification, a TWIC card, and a clean driving record, with the ability to lift heavy loads and work independently in a dynamic oilfield environment.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Ability to pass Operator Certification written test.
• Ability to pass random DOT drug tests.
• Ability to obtain a TWIC card.
• Ability to read, add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 70 pounds occasionally.
• Good communication, organization, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customers’ off-site facilities for repair and maintenance of pipelines and equipment.
• Repair and maintain equipment in both field and fabrication shop environments.
• Adhere to OSHA and DOT safety regulations at all times.
• Participate in required training and safety classes.
• Maintain company vehicle(s) with routine preventive maintenance checks.
• Inform Branch Manager or Warehouse Supervisor about operating issues or vehicle concerns.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow safety protocols at all times.

Job Description:The main objective of the Field Service Technician for the Porta-Lathe business unit of PSS Industrial Group is to travel to locations off site, generally in the oilfield industry to repair and maintain pipelines and equipment. When not in the field, this position works onsite in the Fabrication Shop repairing and maintaining a wide variety of equipment.Field Service Technicians go through extensive training to obtain an Operator’s Certification and are subject to DOT random drug testing.Primary responsibilities:Travel to customers’ off-site facilities for repair and maintenance of pipelines and equipment.Repair and maintain a wide variety of equipment such as….Adhere to OSHA and DOT safety regulations at all times.Participate in all required training and safety classes.Ensure that company truck(s) are kept clean and that preventive maintenance checks are conducted per protocol.
