Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co., an established Caterpillar dealer in Georgia, is seeking a Field Service Truck Technician to perform truck repairs at customer facilities. You will diagnose, maintain, and repair equipment, communicating findings and recommendations to customers and office staff.

The role requires a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and ability to read/write English. CDL may be required; overtime and after-hours availability is expected, with strong emphasis on safety and customer

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 21 years old or older.
• Valid, active driver's license.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to clear driver screenings (DQ file) including Road Test, background check and MVR.
• Must not be disqualified to drive a CMV.
• Technical knowledge of School Bus systems.
• Strong Diesel Engine Knowledge (Cummins)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Works in a neat and orderly manner, maintaining a safe work environment.
• Proficiently and accurately perform maintenance, diagnose and repairs.
• Apply failure analysis techniques to determine root cause and relay to customers and office personnel.
• Care for and maintain customer machines/equipment to high standards.
• Respond to customer needs in a positive, timely manner.
• Write full reports on findings from field service events.
• Communicate effectively with customers about maintenance/repairs.
• Be willing to work overtime as required and be available for after-hours calls.
• Must be able to obtain a CDL license if required.
