Job summary

Brightspeed is seeking a Fiber Service Technician-Mobile to install fiber internet for residential customers. The role requires travel in and out of state, varying shifts with overtime, and adherence to safety guidelines.

You will also support sales activities, assist other technicians, and provide excellent customer service while building a reliable fiber network across multiple markets.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel locally and nationally.
• High School diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Ability to distinguish colors on facilities.
• Physical ability to lift ladders and carry equipment.
• Completion of service tech boot camp training is a plus.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office).
• Ability to work in confined spaces and aloft.

Responsibilities

• Install fiber-based high-speed internet for consumer customers.
• Perform maintenance and repair on outside plant facilities as needed.
• Travel frequently (in-state and out-of-state) to support order completion.
• Climb poles and work in utility access areas as required.
• Manage weekly travel per diem.
• Follow safety rules and assist fellow technicians.
• Support sales and marketing activities and direct customer referrals.
