Job summary

Peak Industrial Company is seeking a qualified Compact Construction Equipment Mechanic to join our Utah team. You will perform daily maintenance inspections, diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical and diesel systems, and rebuild/overhaul components as needed.

On-site, you’ll communicate with the service manager and customers, maintain clean and safe equipment, and complete required paperwork. A valid driver's license, clean MVR and DOT medical card are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a compact construction equipment mechanic
• Experience repairing JCB, Bobcat, John Deere, Case, CAT, Kubota or similar equipment
• Strong hydraulics, electrical and diesel mechanics skills
• Team-oriented and quality-focused
• Ability to learn policies and complete documentation accurately
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex issues with minimal supervision
• Own common repair tools and provide inventory for insurance purposes
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR and DOT Medical Card
• Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily equipment and preventative maintenance inspections
• Diagnose and repair major systems on compact construction equipment (hydraulics, electrical, diesel)
• Perform system rebuilds and overhauls
• Communicate on-site with service manager and customers to discuss repairs and scope
• Maintain equipment in clean, organized, safe, well-operating condition
• Perform additional tasks as assigned
• Complete all paperwork for customer work orders
